1 person shot near Edison High School in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One person is in the hospital following a shooting Tuesday afternoon across the street from Edison High School in Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Officers say they received a ShotSpotter alert at the 500 block of East California Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Moments later, dispatch began receiving 911 calls reporting a shooting that had just occurred across the street from Edison High School.

Police say they were able to confirm one shooting victim, an unknown-aged male, who was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with a gunshot wound.
