Four people were arrested on Thursday, April 25, after allegedly attempting to rob two people who had withdrawn cash at a bank in Rancho Cucamonga, the Ontario Police Department said Saturday.

On Thursday, two people were at a bank in the 11000 block of Fourth Street in Rancho Cucamonga, near Milliken Avenue.

They were withdrawing cash when they noticed a suspect watching them intently as he stood in line, a Saturday police news release said

As the victims drove away, they noticed a vehicle was following them, even after multiple evasive maneuvers, the news release said.

The victims called Ontario Police and dispatchers coordinated with officers to respond to their location.

The news release said officers arrested four suspects from Los Angeles County after finding the suspect vehicle.

All four were arrested near Archibald Avenue and Cedar Street at around 2:45 p.m. on suspicion of attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrest logs.

Arrest records show that all four suspects were released on bail on Friday, April 26.

“Officers were able to place all four suspects at the bank and determined they followed the victims for over five miles throughout the city,” the news release said.

“The Ontario Police Department wants to remind our residents to always pay attention to their surroundings and if they ‘see something, say something,’” the release said.

Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to call the Ontario Police Department at (909) 986-6711.
